Don't miss this episode.
Will and the Greeze sample three bourbons selected by instagram friend @Fletcher_Whiskeydog. The catch? They don't know what they are trying. Listen to Will and the Greeze stumble their way through tasting these bourbons and some of the outlandish claims they make about them. Make sure to follow @Fletcher_Whiskeydog on instagram to find out what they were drinking.
Will and the Greeze are joined by a friend who just got back from the bourbon trail to give insight on planning your pilgrimage. He gives many good tips for making the most of your trip to Kentucky and squeezing as many distilleries in as possible. Then, after the 15, he shares two bottles that he brought back from Kentucky for the guy's tasting: Blade & Bow and Jefferson's Reserve Groth Reserve Cask Finish.
In this episode, Will and the Greeze do a taste test of three un-aged, white whiskies: Nelson's Green Brier Tennessee White Whiskey, Popcorn Sutton, and Maker's Mark White. Hilarity ensues. After the 15, the guys change pace with some Bowman Brothers Virginia Small Batch Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
Will and the Greeze leave the PodCask studio for an on location recording at the Steele Speakeasy. The Steele Speakeasy is an epic home bar, from proprietor Paul Steele. Paul gives the guys some tips on starting a bourbon collection, building a home bar and then leads them on a 6 bourbon tasting. Needless to say, they are eternally grateful for Paul's hospitality. Follow him on instagram: @steelespeakeasy. No "15" this week, but when you're tasting 6 different bourbons... who needs it?
In this episode, Will and the Greeze pull a friend into the PodCask studio to try bourbon for the very first time. With a blind tasting lineup of Old Forester, Buffalo Trace, and Old Granddad, Brandon gives his thoughts on these bourbons, while tasting each neat out of Glencairn glasses. Then, Will and the Greeze wash out the Glencairn glasses and pour some Buffalo Trace for the 15.
